It's been very hot and humid here in Louisville. We registered for the Rally events and have
already met so many friendly fellow RVer's here, it's been a fun time already.
We decided to spend the day in the older section of Louisville. We went for a walk on St. James Circle, what a beautiful street, each house was prettier than the next. There was a median filled with graceful mature trees, gas lit street lamps and a centrally located fountain. We took a tour of the Conrad-Caldwell House Museum build 1893 (http://conrad-caldwell-museum.visit-louisville.com/). The tour was lead by the great grand daughters of Mr. Caldwell. What spectacular woodwork and details!
It was time to eat, so upon the recommendation of the Louisville Historic Visitor's Center, we stopped for a late lunch at The Brown Hotel, built in 1920's. (http://www.brownhotel.com/photo-gallery.htm) We had the traditional Hot Brown yummmm!
recipe: (http://www.brownhotel.com/dining-hot-brown.htm). Photos to follow!
The entertainment tonight at the Rally will be comedian Bob Newheart.
